Meet the DanceSF Salsa & Bachata Team...


After teaching and studying salsa for over 10 years, Evan has become known across the board for teaching the art and passion of salsa dance. He exudes energy and excitement in every dance step and in every sentence.As founder of DanceSF, SalsaCrazy, SalsaBootCamp and many other salsa companies, Evan has taught thousands of students and organized hundreds of dance festivals, events, and workshops all over the world.

Evan is known for his charismatic personality, vibrant passion for dancing, and infectious humor. His instructions are fun, exciting, and always easy to follow. He truly makes learning salsa a phenomenal experience.

Corey Raynor

Corey Raynor has been a principal dancer of world-renowned dance companies including Salsamania and Beyond Dreamz. He trained extensively in Forro with some of the best Forro dance companies in Brazil, and won ballroom competitions throughout New England during his college years. He has also been a featured dancer in several music videos.

Mireille Ruiz

Mireille Ruiz has been dancing various disciplines since childhood, including a backround in gymnastics, jazz and tap. She is a natural dancer who developed her own style of Salsa and Bachata in clubs, and perfected her technique through rigorous performance and competition. Since coming to the Bay Area from Mexico fours years ago, she has been competing and performing with the top U.S. Salsa companies and teams. In addition to her dance talents, she used to be a professional percussionist performing with latin bands throughout mexico for many years. See the calandar to view Mireille's schedule

JUAN GIL (Salsa With Juan)

Juan Gil is the founder of Salsa with Juan, which has made its home in Oakland, California for the past 6 years. Since then, Juan has created a thorough Instructor Training Program & developed some smart & talented people as instructors who now join him in his mission to “Build communities through Dance.” It takes a special kind of person to become a SWJ instructor. Not only is a love of dance required, but a love of the process of learning as well as a definite commitment to the task of teaching. Juan's classes are in demand year long & it's a testament to his training system. Students say they learn fast in his classes while having fun & meeting people in a way they never thought possible. Kat Kresch is a company member of RicaSalsa, Bay Area Team Champions and World Salsa Finalists. She is a previous amateur Ballroom and Latin Competitor, & was a core company member of both The Nekyia (bellydance cabaret) and Hot Pink Feathers (Samba/world dance fusion). She is a graduate of the Ballroom Dance Teachers College in Ballroom & Latin, and also teaches Ballroom, Latin & Swing dancing. She is a staff instructor at the SF Block Party, & was on staff at the former Cheryl Burke Dance San Francisco. She studies ballet, yoga & bellydance.

Learn rhythm, connection to partner, Latin styling & flava, and a monthly Salsa routine. Improve posture, balance, musicality, and develop a lifetime skill you can use all over the world! Dancing is the most fun way to work out, express yourself, and connect with friendly people!

Nick Lau is a company member of RicaSalsa, Bay Area Team Champions and World Salsa Finalists. He is currently a competitor in International Standard Ballroom, and has performed Charleston/Swing in various places including Retro Day at the Oakland A's stadium, private parties, and dance showcases. He teaches Ballroom and Swing dancing. He is staff instructor at the SF Block Party, an independent teacher at Metronome Dance Collective, and previous staff instructor at Vima Dance Studio, San Francisco. Rebecca Miller is a natural dancer and enjoys sharing her passion for movement. Her enthusiasm and love around dance, music, and teaching came together seamlessly as a salsa dance instructor for the past five years in Oakland, CA at the Lake Merrit Dance Center. Rebecca's students describe her as a patient, caring, and a fun dance instructor. She has a thorough knowledge of dance technique and can clearlyarticulate that knowledge to her students in a relaxed atmosphere. The classes are full of enthusiasm. Her teaching style helps make salsa dancing less intimidating for beginners and she can teach intricate patterns for advanced students. The laughs and playfulness make her classes fun. The instruction is excellent. Rebecca's students say that her warm and friendly nature make her classes so delightful. They are very proud to say they are her students.

Jacqueline has over 20 years of experience in dance: teaching, competing and performing nationally and internationally. With beginnings in Musical Comedy Theater, she worked with renowned choreographers, local and international dance companies in a variety of genres, disciplines and influences--ballet, flamenco, modern dance, jazz, Argentine Tango and salsa. Jacqueline has brought dance to many communities and raised funds for many organizations with her choreographies and performances. Her goal, to uplift and unite the spirit of a community through art and music. Bringing an individual closer to oneself and others with the expression of dance in many forms.
