Getting to San Francisco Salsa Classes from Around the Bay
4 min read
A weekly dance night only works if getting there is easy. Dancers travel into the Inner Richmond from all over the Bay Area for SalsaCrazy Mondays, and most of them have a route worked out down to the minute.
From the East Bay
Oakland and Berkeley dancers usually take BART to Civic Center or Montgomery and connect by bus or rideshare across town, or drive over the Bay Bridge. Monday evening traffic westbound is lighter than any other weeknight, which is part of why Monday works so well.
From the Peninsula and South Bay
From Palo Alto, San Mateo, Mountain View and San Jose, the usual approach is 101 or 280 north, then across the city on 19th Avenue or Park Presidio. Caltrain plus Muni works too if you would rather not drive home late.
Parking on Clement Street
Clement Street has metered and residential parking, and side streets around 4th and 6th Avenues are usually the best bet. Arriving a little before the 7:00 PM class gives you time to find a space without rushing.
Every city page on this site lists the specific drive time and transit route from that city to 406 Clement St.
